We are looking for a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher in the Nanophotonic Devices Laboratory (nanoPhD Lab) at Bilkent University – UNAM. Our research covers the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of nanophotonic devices and semiconductor lasers, providing an excellent base for a career both in academia and in the high-tech industry. The research project will focus on developing novel technologies for high-power semiconductor lasers.

The candidates should have strong skills at least in one of the following areas:

• Numerical simulation (e.g., Lumerical, COMSOL) for the design or analysis of photonic devices
• Cleanroom experience on the microfabrication of devices
• Building experimental setups; electro-optical testing of photonic, optoelectronic, or laser devices; analysis of measurements.

Additionally, you can be involved in:

• Co-supervision of and collaboration with the Ph.D./MS students involved in the related projects
• Contribution to the writing of personal/collaborative project proposals and project reports
